Concrete SV Marker Post: KF agreed to enlist the enforcement officer for re-instatement of the SV Marker by Hamilton House, which to date Scottish Water has ignored despite it being their responsibility.  Scottish water has now admitted not being interested in re-instating marker. This matter is now considered  closed

6.3

Redundant Street Lighting: The alleged redundant street lights (according to Ralph Singleton) remain an issue as it is clear that LCC voiced an objection to their removal during 2009 contrary to the story given by RS. GB has been following this up with RS although he apparently now tells us that removal of these lights contributes to reducing Aberdeenshire’s carbon footprint.  It is however difficult to balance this against the new installation of some 30 lamps between Sundayswells  and Torphins. An issue has also been raised regarding the speed limits at each end of the village where the limits go from 60 to 30. Road Safety is clearly not something the local authority is concerned about.  – Ongoing

GB

6.4

Dead Trees at Sewage Works: Again it seems that death or serious injury is required before any action is taken: Scottish Water claim that this is Council Responsibility even though removal of these was clearly laid out as a planning condition prior to commencement of construction of the works. GB to look into it   – Ongoing.

Trees at the Den: The Trees at Satan’s Den S-Bends cause ice formation and perpetuation on the road surface.  Ownership of these trees is being investigated with a view to having the majority removed.
